OUR EQUIPMENT

Rescue Engine 5
Was purchased by the department in January of 2017 and replaced the department's 2004 HME Silver Fox. This 2007 American LaFrance Eagle has a 1500/750/50/60 pump and tank.

Brush 5-1
Is a 1982 CJ-5 Jeep. Holds 100 Gallons of water.

Tanker 5
This is our new 2023 Freightliner, Engine Tanker 5. Bought May of 2023. Replacing the existing Tanker 5. With a 1000 GPM Pump holding 2000 Gals of water. With a 2100 gallon dump tank.

Engine 5
Is a stocky 1997 International 2654/Unknown, 500/1600. Was also bought new and has served the community and surrounding areas since.

Supply 5 & UTV 5
It is a unique 2005 Chevy Silverado/Kwiken HyTrans/HFS Hyrdosystem equipped with a 1200gpm pump and 300' of supply line.

This is our current Supply truck with a new flatbed. Behind it is our new 2020 Polaris Ranger, UTV 5 with 75 gallons of water and 5 Gallons of Form. It has the capability to put out brush fires, as well as rescue patients in rough terrain areas.

Brush 5
This is our new 2020 Ford F-350, Brush 5 with a 300-gallon tank. It also runs our EMS Assist and is equipped with EMS equipment.

WE ARE A VOLUNTEER FIRE AND RESCUE COMPANY ESTABLISHED IN 1955 SERVING SLANESVILLE, WV, AND THE SURROUNDING AREA(S).



1955 Crew
1950s photo of Slanesville, W.Va.’s first Fire Department standing beside the used 1946 Ford Firetruck that they used until a new GMC Firetruck was purchased in the 1960s.
